Speak with Owls!
This is a tool called an Owl Hooter. When you blow air into the tube, it creates the sound of an owl hooting.
Check out this video for a demonstration and instruction!
To create the ideal sound, blow into the hooter in a tone as if you were saying “who cooks for you.” The device also provides for two available tones. Place your finger on the small hole at the end of the tube to create a deeper sound, but leave it exposed for a higher pitch. Alternatively, alternate between the two to create an interesting sound.
🚶➡️Take this out on a hike through the woods and listen for owls or other animals responding to you.
🦉Talk to Owls! Either out hiking, camping, or even from your backyard.
🦃 Use this to hunt turkey's - they respond to the owl call, and this helps you locate them.
The Print Plates
The primary print profile includes 4 print plates, each a different aesthetic option for the Owl Hooter.
- Plain - this is a no-nonsense simple print.
- Wood Texture - this includes a wood log texture around the main body of the hooter.
- Fuzzy Skin - like the plain version, but fuzzy skin texture added along the entire model.
- More Wood -In addition to the wood texture from the 2nd plate, this model also includes wood texture around the small cylinder at the top of the model and at the end, where you place your finger to change the tune.

Each model is approximately 70 grams of filament - However, the wood models are slightly more.
The model prints with supports.

Be Aware - The “More Wood” plate (plate 4) has supports that go into the chamber of the main body. This can be removed with a precision tool easily enough by snapping them. But be sure to do this prior to use.
I used 3 different filaments for these models.
The wood versions are printed in Bambu Lab Latte Brown PLA Matte.
The Fuzzy Skin version is printed in Chitu Systems Conjure Chameleon PLA Blue-Purple.
The plain version is printed in Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 Black.
