Our laundry room has a ceiling-mounted light with a pull chain—a perfectly reasonable setup, except for one tiny detail: trying to find it in the dark was like playing a very inconvenient version of hide-and-seek. The stock pull chain was so feather-light that the slightest movement would send it wildly swinging out of reach, making the simple act of turning on the light a precision sport.

So, I fixed it. This redesigned pull brings some much-needed stability to the situation. Heavy enough to stay put but perfectly sized to grab the first time, every time. Installation is simple: slide the pull onto the chain, lock the insert/stopper over the chain, and then lower the pull onto the insert—gravity does the rest.

It can be printed in any material, but it’s shown here in durable black ABS-GF and vibrant yellow PLA. No more laundry-room mystery grabs—just effortless illumination with zero frustration.
