Yellow Submarine Windmill 🌀💛
A fun windmill design inspired by the Yellow Submarine — made just because my wife wanted one 😄.

It's quirky, it's colorful, and it spins like a charm! 🧡

There's a larger prototype too, but that still needs a bit of tweaking.

The rod is slightly overkill, but it won’t break easily and it's also simple to print. It was originally designed for bigger windmills. I’ve got a few more projects in mind, and they’ll all use the same rod system.

The hex connections are a bit tight at first, so be careful if you plan to take it apart. I tried looser fits, but they felt too wobbly — so I stuck with this version.

If you don’t want to stick it in the ground, there’s a mounting bracket that lets you screw it down and insert the rod into that instead. With the middle rod section, you can extend it to whatever height you want.

Optional snap-in windows can also be printed and popped right into place.
