This Multiconnect snap is a remix based on the opengrid lock snap from openGrid by David D. It was made by combining a multiconnect connector with the (beta) lock snap. In my testing, I found that the one of these lock snaps can hold significantly more weight than a directional snap before pulling out of the openGrid, particularly if the tile is horizontal (for example when mounted under a desk or workbench).
I have printed these with 3 walls and 15% infill. There's a version that uses a coin slot, and one that uses a hex key; the only difference here is what tool you will use to turn the connector (1/8 turn clockwise) to lock the snap in place.
As with the directional snaps, please note that layer adhesion where the connector meets the snap body may be a limiting factor because of the print orientation. Although the snaps pulled out of the tile before shearing in my testing, it is possible that print settings or different materials will impact layer adhesion, so if you are planning to use this for something heavy, I would suggest making a test print first, or using one of the threaded snaps with a folding multiconnect connector.
