The original was made for the LCD Steam Deck and not the OLED Steam Deck. Since the OLED charger is a bit longer, slight modifications (increase in overall height to allow more room for the longer cable) were needed to make sure the cable would fit properly in the organizer while also still being able to fit the case like originally intended. This will still work for the LCD variant. 

DISCLAIMER, no matter if it is the LCD or OLED cable version this does "stick" out" from the case, this is normal.
