Parametric Rivet Bracket for Multiconnect, Multipoint & GOEWS
This is a customizable OpenSCAD rivet bracket for attaching Multiconnect, Multipoint / Multiboard, or GOEWS-compatible mounts to metal shelving systems such as Muscle Rack / Edsal shelving.
The model is fully parametric, so you can tune the rivet shape, spacing, backplate size, mounting system, and slot fit for your specific shelving rails.
✅ Features
- Rivet Customization – Adjust diameter, shaft height, and spacing. The rivet can be placed on the same side as the bracket as well
- Backplate Controls – Tune width, height, and offsets for perfect mounting
- Slot Configuration – Includes quick-release options, dimple scaling, and tolerance tweaks
- On-Ramp Support – Easier sliding for taller mounts or bins
- GOEWS Compatible – Add and position cleats to fit GOEWS rails
- Modular & Versatile – Built for a range of setups, from tool walls to garage shelving
💡 Compatible With
- Multiconnect ecosystem (Printables/Thangs)
- Multipoint / Multiboard
- GOEWS
- Muscle Rack / Edsal Shelving Systems
Before Customizing: What to Measure
For best results, measure the rivets or rail you want to mount to before generating the model.
| Setting | What It Means |
| Rivet Head Diameter | Diameter of the large round head/cap |
| Rivet Head Height | Thickness of the large head/cap only |
| Rivet Shaft Diameter | Diameter of the smaller shaft/post |
| Rivet Shaft Height | Length of the smaller shaft/post, measured from the bracket face to the underside of the head |
| Rivet Center-to-Center Distance | Distance from the center of one rivet to the center of the next rivet |
| Initial Rivet Center From Top | Distance from the top edge of the backplate to the center of the first rivet |
Important: rivet spacing is center-to-center, not edge-to-edge.
Rivet Side Setting
Use rivet_on_same_side to choose which side the rivets are generated on.
- false: rivets are on the side opposite the Multiconnect / Multipoint / GOEWS connector
- true: rivets are on the same side as the connector
If the rivets appear on the wrong side for your use case, toggle this setting.
Fit Tuning Tips
- If the mounting slots are too tight or too loose, adjust slotTolerance.
- If the Multiconnect dimple is too aggressive or too weak, adjust dimpleScale.
- If the mount does not slide fully into place, try adjusting slotDepthMicroadjustment.
- If the rivets do not line up with your rail, double-check that you measured rivet center-to-center distance, not the gap between rivet heads.
Recommendations:
I have another model that works with Multiconnect that you can connect to the horizontal rails on Muscle Rack shelving if you wish. You can find that here: Multiconnect Mounting Bracket for Muscle Rack. I also have one that uses Multiboard snaps here: Multiboard Mounting Bracket for Muscle Rack
For spanning multiple rails or creating a larger panel, consider using Overlapping MultiBoard: Connect Several into One by 駄目g, which allows multiple MultiBoard tiles to be combined into a single panel.
If you are looking for models to attach to your boards, I recommend BlackJackDuck's Multiconnect Part Generator
