Plant Support / Trellis - Waves

Apart from growing climbing plants on my moss poles, I also have some that I like to let trail. With these getting longer than I can manage, I needed a way to let them climb without the moss poles and prevent them from directly latching onto the wall. Thus, the wave trellis was created! 🌊

This trellis is compatible with pots at least 50mm in depth. Variants of the stake are available depending on the diameter of the pot. Please ensure that the pot is heavy enough to prevent a tall trellis from toppling the entire setup over. 

An optional wall hanger is available to better support the weight of a bigger build.
 

This model is comprised of 3 main and a few optional parts:

Stake

Select the stake the best fits your pot dimension. Ensure that the stake will be sufficiently burried in the pot medium and that the pot itself is heavy enough to support the trellis.

Wave Module - Basic, Lined

Available in 2 designs:

• basic - left hollow to allow users to pass the plant through, when needed
• lined - not only used for aesthetics but also to reinforce the structure of the trellis.

Dovetail

Additional connectors are provided to ensure stability. It is recommended to have at least 3 connectors set in each wave module. As it is a thin trellis, it is also an option to use glue to connect dovetails for a sturdier build.

Hook (optional)

warning: Use PETG and avoid brittle filament options. Ensure that the print has cooled enough before handling as bending can cause it to break.

Wall Mount (optional)

This optional part is available here. It was separated to ensure clear instruction when using the trellis in a pot or, as an alternative, mounted on the wall.

Corner Module (Optional)

This optional part is available here. It was separated to ensure clear instruction and avoid toppling the trellis without proper support. These are for corners or for just redirecting sections of the trellis. 

Base (Optional)

This optional part is available here. It was separated to ensure clear instruction for people who use lighter pot mediums like mineral substrate and aroid substrate.
