How Does It Work?

The adapters work by providing a three-by-one Gridfinity base topped with a three-hex wide Hexfinity surface. Thanks to the 42mm flat edge-to-flat edge measurement, you can tile a 3-wide by n-deep layout in the Y direction. Extension pieces let you expand the width in the X direction—in one-step increments from 3 up to 11 wide.

Extend your Hexfinity to Gridfinity up to 11x wide in 1x increments.

Hexfinity on Gridfinity Stacking - 7mm Increments

Hexfinity uses the same 7mm vertical increments as Gridfinity. This means you can stack in either system fully compatibly.

  • Adapters tile seamlessly in the Y direction in the same 42mm increments of Gridfinity
  • Hexfinity also stacks in the Z direction exactly like Gridfinity – in 7mm increments, allowing you to add altitude by stacking on top of Gridfinity containers.
• Four Variants Available
  • Choose between two types of Gridfinity bottoms and two arrow options. They all work great, the main difference is print speed.
  • Bottom Options
    • Normal Gridfinity Bottom (faster to print, but less possibilities) 

    • Quad Gridfinity Bottom (recommended for its flexibility, as it allows placement at half intervals for enhanced layout possibilities)

      

  • Top Arrow Options
    • Arrowed versions feature guiding arrows drawn inside the hexes to help align extension pieces perfectly—the arrows point toward each other to ensure proper grid tiling.

    • Non-arrow versions are faster to print (non-arrowed Gridfinity prints in under 40 minutes, while arrowed Quad Gridfinity prints take just over 45 minutes).

      

Quad Gridfinity Support

Recommended: choose the optional Quad Gridfinity bottom to quadruple your position possibilities. It's fully compatible with existing gridfinity bases, but it just gives you more options.

Stylish Print Options

All print profiles provided are segment for layer-based color changes for efficient printing in any style. Make them all one color, or change the color of the arrows, flat areas and hex grid. Mix and match to create your style.

Gridfinity Base
