With this model I got inspired by honeycomb paper folding. Its open lattice structure mimics the layered, expandable effect of traditional honeycomb paper decorations, creating a lightweight yet visually striking pattern. The seamless geometric grid enhances depth and texture, making it a perfect display piece, gift, or artistic object.

So uh, are you still reading this? Here is the thing: I absolutely do not like the aesthetics of this model. I thought it would look cool. I had fun designing it. I was excited to print the model…but when I had it in my hand I knew this wasn't going anywhere near my usual decoration spots.

I gave it to my wife and she excitedly shouted “Wow!” (which gave me hopes) and then dead serious: “That thing is ugly!”. So yeah. My wife doesn't want it as well. She liked the shiny copper Silk PLA that I tried for the first time though. :)

But hey, tastes differ and maybe you like this style and will enjoy this print. I will place mine somewhere I wont have to see it ever again :)

The print quality is absolutely perfect I have to say. Very fun to watch.

The Egg is 12cm tall and 8cm wide.
