I needed a portable gridfinity setup that would stay held together when I move it around. I made this system to connect gridfinity bases to make a larger portable tray. There are more efficient bases out there if you just want to kit out a draw, but this one is very rugged.
I only needed 3x4 and 3x3 sizes to make a tray that fits into my IKEA Pax unit pull out shelves. If you want another size then just comment below and I will happily add the other sizes.
Additonal sizes added:
- 3x3
- 3x4
- 4x5
The trays print great with no support.
To assemble just press the clips into the bases to connect 2 together. I made the tollerance quite tight so that it would hold with no extra hardware. However, I cannot garuntee this same tight fit with your printer and filament. If the clips are a bit loose you can push threaded inserts into them, and then use M3 screws to connect the plates together. Alternatively, instead of the insert you can use a longer screw with a nut on the other side. See the Bill of Materials below for suggested parts.

These trays are fully compatible with gridfinity so you can use 6mm magnets or m3x5 screws (NOT STAINLESS) in the 4 corners of each cell. Corresponding magnets or screws on your pots will hold them in place. I don't recommend using magnets on both sizes as then you need to be careful about polarity.
You can find my gridfinity pots here.
