3D Printed Volcano – Description & Eruption Guide
This 3D printed volcano model is a fun and educational experiment that simulates a volcanic eruption using a simple chemical reaction.
What You’ll Need:
- 3D printed volcano model
- Baking soda (about 2–3 teaspoons)
- Vinegar (about 50–100 ml)
- Food coloring (optional, for a lava effect)
- Dish soap (optional, for thicker foam)
- Small container
Instructions:
- Place the volcano model on a tray or a protected surface.
- Add baking soda to the crater.
- If you want colorful lava, add a few drops of food coloring and a little dish soap.
- Slowly pour vinegar into the crater and watch the eruption! 🌋
How It Works:
The reaction between vinegar (acetic acid) and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) produces carbon dioxide (CO₂), which creates a bubbling eruption similar to real lava flow.
