this is a enclosed box , designed to have moss or dampened substrate in to help with your snakes shedding , it provides a nice moistened area in which to prepare to shed in , can be used in rubs , or vivarium's , you can use as a standard hide or make it moist ,

i drew up the design as one solid hide , but this would of been difficult to print as would have large unsupported areas , so i cut off the bottom section intending to glue back together after printing , but i decided it was beneficial to have a removable tp or bottom , to enable me to remove the snake from if required , so faced with either a complete redesign or find a solution , so i settled on some bands which slide over each side and the front entrance parts , ( printed in a different colour so you could see them easily in pictures ) 

to assemble the humid box place the top /main section upside down , fill with your chosen material (substrate or reptile grade moss ) place a piece of toweling , felt , or fabric pads ( i made some of these from scrap fabric ) place the base onto the main part and flip over , slide on the bands to hold together , place in your viv or rub and return your python and this is all set up , 

they can be removed periodical and washed , you can mist every few days to maintain the humidity with in the box ,

forgive the pic of a rather grumpy snake who did not like being woken up and refused point blank to co-operate and go into her nice new box 

i am sure she will venture in whilst i am not looking , typical animal (UPDATE found her in her new box tonight , amazing she never really liked hides prefering to sleep under logs and plants , was thrilled to see she liked it , i put it down to having a soft bed of moss and fabric pillow , )added a pic of her chilling awaiting her food which was warming xx

this print takes just over 10 hours for all the parts , its suitable for adult pythons , mine is about 1.5 kilos and there is plenty of room for her , they like snug areas to curl up in as it makes them feel safe , you can resize a bit as there is about 2 cms of spare build plate to go bigger ,or smaller is not a problem
