Fancy Gentleman Articulated Octopus

This fancy-looking flexi octopus is ready for the opera or the theater with his top hat and monocle! My son has been searching for a “snazzy octopus” for a while now, and this model is my answer to his search. I designed (and tested, and redesigned, and tested…) the tentacles from scratch until I got them just the way we preferred them. At 100% scale, they print easily and with no adhesion, and their freedom of movement make them fun to play with. 

Print Notes

• Like all similar prints, this one requires good bed adhesion for the tentacles. Make sure your print bed is thoroughly clean! Also, make sure the bed has cooled down (if heated) and be gentle in removing the tentacles after printing.
• The top hat and monocle require a bit of support to print well. I have manual supports drawn on for my print profile that remove easily. 
• If you decide to print multi-color, I recommend printing the top hat separately (using my color print profile) and then using just a bit of superglue after printing to assemble. This cuts several hours (and many filament changes) off the print due to the angle of the hat.
