With all of the super fast and now heavier 3D printing machines on the market and if you're like me and you use folding tables because they're easy, cheap and portable then you definitely need these stabilizing braces. I've had heavy, fast printers on this particular table and the vibration made me worry that the table would eventually collapse. After installing these braces The table is rock solid now.
I used Steel 3mm (1/8") slightly tapered pins are used to lock the clamps together but you could also just print them although the fitment is very snug and I needed to tap the pins all the way in with a hammer. Pins can be removed with a smaller diameter pin. You will also need #6 or #8 hollow wall anchors. I used the metal pigtail style because they are the strongest available.
Supports are recommended especially for the clamp but I did use them on the braces too.
The inner diameter is slightly bigger than the actual legs to accommodate the use of foam tape as seen in the picture For shock absorption. This adds additional vibration dampening.
I recommend using glass or carbon fiber reinforced materials for added strength and dependability. I have added modifiers to the connecting areas to allow for 100% infill.
I have other tables but to my knowledge these braces will only fit this particular table with the link below. this was designed in Tinker cad so if you need to Change the dimensions feel free to do so.
