"Stack ‘Em High!" - The Pallet Rack System for Scale Dioramas 🏗️
Scale Conversion Guide – Adjusting this 1:10 model to other scales in the bottom!
🔗 Check out my other to scale designs: To Scale Collection
Every well-organized warehouse, garage, or workshop needs a solid pallet rack, and now your scale models do too! Whether you’re stacking pallets full of cargo, car parts, or whatever else your diorama needs, this modular rack system will keep it all in check.
I’ve designed two versions—one for 1:10 scale and one for 1:18 scale. Scaling is possible, but keep in mind that bolt holes and tolerances will change, so adjustments may be needed. If you need a specific size or modification, reach out!
Here are the normal pallets, and here is the large pallet.
And you DO need the Pallet Jack! I promise, and perhaps the roll out pallet?
(Pictures is a mix of 1:10 & 1:18)

🛠️ Designed for Functionality & Modularity
✔ True-to-Scale Design – Built to match real-world pallet racking proportions
✔ Two Size Options – 1:10 and 1:18 scale, ready to print
✔ Realistic Connection System – Uses 2mm holes, allowing for:
- Filament "bolts" – Works great and looks authentic (see pics)
- M2 machine screws – If you prefer actual hardware
✔ Expandable & Stackable – Print multiple units and create a fully customizable storage system
✔ Looks Great in Any Setting – Whether it’s for RC storage, miniature warehouses, or industrial dioramas, this will fit right in!
🖨️ Printing & Assembly Tips
✔ Prints flat – Easy to print in one go
✔ Supports needed on the smaller version – Use a small hex key (Allen wrench) to pop out supports effortlessly
✔ Want extra realism? Dry-brush some metallic tones for that classic warehouse look!
🛠️ Note: Even if the model worked perfectly on my end and looks flawless in the photos—remember, this is 3D printing 😄
Printers, settings, and materials vary, so some post-processing may be required.
Holes may be a bit tight—have a small drill bit ready just in case. Some sanding, trimming, or light glue work may be needed.
📏 Scale Conversion Guide – Adjusting This Model to Other Scales
Need to resize your 1:10 or 1:18 pallet rack? Use this guide for quick scaling! (guide is for 1:10)
| Target Scale | Conversion Factor | Scale Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| 1:5 | 200% | 2,0 |
| 1:8 | 125% | 1,25 |
| 1:12 | 83,33% | 0,8333 |
| 1:14 | 71,43% | 0,7143 |
| 1:16 | 62,5% | 0,625 |
| 1:18 | 55,56% | 0,5556 |
| 1:24 | 41,67% | 0,4167 |
| 1:35 | 28,57% | 0,2857 |
| 1:48 | 20,83% | 0,2083 |
💡 How to Scale:
- Scaling Up (e.g., 1:18 → 1:10) → Multiply by 1.8
- Scaling Down (e.g., 1:10 → 1:14) → Multiply by 0.7143
🔧 Example: If a 1:10 shelf beam is 100mm long, and you need it in 1:18 scale:
100mm × 0.5556 = 55.56mm
📏 Scaling Warning!
Rescaling a 3D model isn’t always simple—here’s what to keep in mind:
🔹 Thin Walls & Fragile Parts – Scaling down can weaken walls or erase details.
🔹 Holes & Fitment Issues – Pegs, joints, and screw holes may shrink or expand too much.
🔹 Moving Parts – Hinges and snap-fits might not function properly.
🔹 Printability – Smaller scales may need finer nozzles; larger ones may require stronger materials.
⚠ If I haven’t uploaded a profile for your scale, I haven’t tested it! Adjustments may be needed.
💡 Need a specific scale? If unsure, ask me! I might be able to tweak key details for better fit and function.
