What's Included
- Modular Core: Easily extendable core – simply screw and click the segments together for a quick and secure assembly
- Plant Clips: Fast and secure attachment available in two size.
Small for smaller plants like Pothos and Monstera Adansonii, large for larger plants like Philodendron and Monstera Deliciosa
- Watering Guide: Designed for slow, controlled hydration to keep your moss evenly moist. Use the built-in adjustment screw to control the flow rate — screw it in further to reduce the water flow.
- Baseplate: Provides the sturdiest support when used inside the pot (requires repotting)
- Ground Anchor: Secures firmly in potting soil without repotting, ideal for smaller plants
For optimal results, fill the pole with sphagnum moss.
This not only supports your plant but also encourages roots to grow into the moss, drawing nutrients for healthier, larger leaves. Perfect for climbing plants like Monstera Deliciosa, Monstera Adansonii, Philodendron, and Pothos. You can even add slow-release fertilizer directly onto the moss between the segments for enhanced growth.
How to Set Up
Choose your base: Place the Baseplate at the bottom of the pot (most stable, requires repotting) or push the Ground Anchor directly into existing soil.
Fill each segment with sphagnum moss before connecting — easiest to do one piece at a time. Moist moss encourages roots to grow in, drawing nutrients for healthier, larger leaves. You can add slow-release fertilizer directly onto the moss for enhanced growth.
Stack your poles: Push segments together and rotate until you hear a clear click. Add as many as your plant needs — extend anytime by clicking on another filled segment.
Guide your plant: Use the clips to gently attach the firm stem to the pole — ideally where an aerial root emerges. Once rooted, move the clip higher up.
⚠️ Important: When connecting the cores, keep turning until you feel and hear a click. This ensures the parts are securely and correctly locked together.
Which Size?
M (50 mm diameter) - Small Monsteras, Monkey Leaf, Pothos, young Philodendrons and similar small aroids.
L (75 mm diameter) - Mature Monsteras (1+ year), plants expected to reach 1–2 m tall.
L Tall (75 mm diameter) - Mature Monsteras (1+ year), plants expected to reach 1–2 m tall. (use this, if you have P1S/P2S/A1 or bigger)
- XL (100 mm diameter) - Large established Monstera Deliciosa, Adansonii and other big climbers.
⚠️ Sizes are not cross-compatible. M, L, L Tall and XL segments only connect within the same size.
Material
Underground parts (Baseplate, Ground Anchor, Solid Pole): PETG required – PLA degrades with constant moisture
Above-ground poles: PLA works, PETG recommended – sphagnum moss stays permanently damp and will break down PLA over time
How to Use the Clips
Let your plant grow freely first. Only clip at the firm, mature stem – ideally right where an aerial root emerges, guiding it into the pole. Once the plant has rooted itself, remove the clip and use it higher up for new growth.
⚠️ Never clip a leaf that's still developing. Wait until it's fully grown, then clip the firm stem below it.
FAQ
The segments won't lock / feel wobbly?
Push firmly together, then rotate until you hear an audible click and feel clear resistance. There's an intentional threshold before the lock engages, keep turning through it.
Which size should I get?
M (50 mm diameter) = small Monsteras, Monkey Leaf, young Philodendrons
L (75 mm diameter) = mature Monsteras 1+ year, up to 1–2 m
L - Tall (75 mm diameter ) = mature Monsteras 1+ year, up to 1–2 m (use this, if you have P1S/P2S/A1 or bigger)
XL (100 mm diameter) = Large established Monstera Deliciosa, Adansonii and other big climbers.
Which base option should I use?
Baseplate: most stable option, placed at the bottom of the pot before filling with soil, requires repotting. You can use the Solid Pole on top of the Baseplate for the underground section, regular poles stack above the soil.
Ground Anchor: push directly into existing soil, no repotting needed
PLA or PETG?
Underground: PETG only
Above ground: PLA works, but PETG lasts longer since sphagnum moss is often damp and can slowly degrade PLA over time.
Can I sell printed copies?
Yes, with a commercial license (one-time fee, unlimited prints and sales): ModuGrow Commercial License
Can I mix sizes?
No – the sizes are not compatible with each other. The threads don't fit between sizes.
