Descrição
This is a trophy to award to your fellow makers (or yourself if you have a suitable spot on your shelf).
Depicting a 3D printer nozzle suspended on a curl of filament, sat on a print plate on a plinth.
Assembly
The print plate (with filament attached) should just push/click into place on the plinth/base but if you'd like to add some security you can add a dab of glue.
The Nozzle then just slots onto the end of the filament sticking up.
Print Profile
I've included all 3 items on the official profile, each on their own plate so you can print them separately.
I've adjusted everything in the profile to try and aid print performance and reduce wasted filament including flushing volumes etc.
Print Settings
I'd heavily suggest using the Official profile as there are a couple of potentially difficult parts to print and I've printed them several times to try and get this profile set to make it as successful and easy as possible.
Please note, there are some parts of this print (the sticking up part of filament, and the nozzle in particular) which can be challenging. Please ensure your printer is well calibrated first, you've got good bed adhesion, and I'd recommend using my official profile, or at least downloading and looking over the specific settings for each item.
Each part/plate has unique settings all set up on the profile, but as a general overview:
- Layer Height: 0.08 - 0.16 (depending on part)
- Infill: 5-15% (depending on part)
- Support: None
- Brim: None (with the exception of a brim which I recommend using on the nozzle)
- Speed: Varies drastically on each part (see profile for reference)
Print Orientation:
Again, I heavily recommend using the included Official Profile, but if you do want to slice yourself from scratch, these are the orientations I suggest:
- Build Plate:
Upright (in the orientation it's designed to be used) - Base:
Upright (in the orientation it's designed to be used, with the filament pointing straight up) - Nozzle:
On the thin end of the nozzle, with a small brim (It is possible to print on the wider base, but you'll then need to include quite substantial supports)
