This is a shooting rest I designed in Fusion 360 for my PCP Snowpeak M60B, AKA Umarex Zelos, but will probably work with most rifles. I designed it to be used as the buttstock rest but could also be used on the forearm if you don't have a bipod. It's great for shooting groups or zeroing your rifle, this rest makes it so much more stable!
This is the design I ended up with after a good amount of time designing, test printing and redesigning. There is always room for improvement but I didn't feel like spending more time and filament into this project at this time lol. If you have ideas I'm open to hearing them.
I used four(4) M4x16 bolts and nuts and one(1) M3x12 bolt for this project. The M3x12 bolt is used to hold the main printed riser bolt in place which I just screwed into the side of the main body without needing to tap it.
I am new to uploading files and print profiles, hopefully it will show up on the print profile but I added a PAUSE on layer 57, (with layer height set at 0.2) to add an M4 nut, where the rest can later be screwed on with an M4 bolt.
Assembly is very straight forward, but if you have any questions feel free to contact me!
I believe I printed my final one with 6 walls and 0.2 layer height, with 15% Grid infill which seems plenty strong. I just used PLA since that is all I had. (I usually have to set my initial layer height to 0.24 for the first layer to adhere to the bed properly)
I only used support for the main body brackets where the legs attach.
If you print this, I'd be happy to hear how it turned out and what print settings you used if you used different settings.
(EDIT) Thank you everyone for the boosts and positive comments! This is my second upload and being new to 3D designing and printing, I am thrilled to see all the positive feedback! thanks so much everyone! Just so busy with my job, wish I had more time to design and upload more projects.
