It doesn't matter if you want to play it in a concert, have fun with it, or just want to annoy someone. 

This is the instrument for you! 

I designed it to be as portable and practical as possible. It's easy to assemble, and everything is press-fit.

For the membrane, I used a thin plastic bag, the thinner, the better. You can use something like a thin trash bag.

But the bought membranes also work.

To assemble it:

1. Place the piece of plastic bag over the opening of the body.
2. Take the tear-shaped ring and lay it on top.
3. Press the ring down into the opening (you might need to use some force).
4. Cut off the excess plastic.
5. Test the kazoo. You need to make a humming sound into the short end, not just blow into it.

6. If it doesn't make a buzzing sound, take your pinky finger or the back of a pencil and slightly indent the membrane.

   (Don't be too harsh. It's better to be gentle and repeat this step until you get a good result.)

    

If the membrane tears at any point, just pop out the ring with something stiff and pointy (I used a flathead screwdriver) and repeat the steps.
