UPDATE: I HAVE ADDED ALL SIZE BALLS TO THE PRINT PROFILES
Like me, a lot of people didn't know that there is NOT a standard ball size for pool/billiards, in fact there are many standard sizes :(
These are the most common sizes & have have generated one of each in the print profile so that you do not need to edit the Fusion file to generate the triangle to suit the size of your balls! Please measure your balls & select the correct size triangle that you need.
1 & 7/8 inch balls - 47.6mm
2 inch balls - 50.8mm
2 & 1/16 inch balls - 52.4mm
2 & 1/4 inch balls - 57.2mm
The design remains the same, their are 3 bends & 3 straight segments. They are joined using a dovetail joint which is hidden underneath.
I have used Bambu Labs PETG-HF but you can also print these in PLA.
While the clearance was perfect for me using the Bambu Labs A1 printer with Bambu Labs filament, I know that some people will have varying results due to the type of printer & filament they use, so it is very important you TEST THE DOVETAIL FIT FIRST!
MAKE A TEST PIECE FIRST OF THE DOVETAIL JOINT TO MAKE SURE IT COMES OUT THE RIGHT SIZE ON YOUR PRINTER BEFORE PRINTING ALL PIECES.
I have shared the FUSION 360 CAD files for anyone who wants to tweak the dovetail fit or wants to modify the design.
For those not able to use FUSION 360 and want to adjust the dovetail fit, print the long straight pieces first then print one of the bends (or even just a portion of the bend to test fit the dovetail), if it's too tight just scale up the bend slightly to suit (in whatever direction it is tight).
