Ultimate Laser Engraver Blank Storage for Gridfinity

What makes this necessary?

As laser engravers often have collections of random left over blanks or quantities of coins that are kept in boxes to keep organized but often similar in looking. This makes it difficult to know where items are and how much inventory you have left. Since typically things are left in their cases or bags, due to wanting things in pristine condition before they are engraved or embossed, these Gridfinity storage bins are designed with tolerances for the bags, cases, or standard containers they often sit in.

This solves a gap in Gridfinity storage for engraving blanks of different types and sizes for any laser engraver. 

What is included?

In this initial release, there are included storage solutions for:

• Leather Card Blanks
• Business Card Blanks
• 24mm Coin Blanks (typically without a case)
• 32mm Coin Blanks  (typically without a case)
• 45mm Coin Blanks in Case
• 50mm Coin Blanks in Case
• 52.5mm Coin Blanks in Case

There are a lot of models and profiles, how do I know what to print?

There are profiles for 3 categories and they have been labeled them appropriately.

1. AMS, These profiles use AMS to print a different color for the top inset of the bin. If the bin is labeled it will make a clean offset color. This reduces filament switching to the minimal amount while making the lettering (for labeled bins) or storage slots stand out.
2. Labeled, These profiles have a pre-defined label with some of the more common types of Materials (Copper, Brass, Aluminum, etc)
3. Blank, (Can be an AMS or Non-AMS profile) This can be used if you would like to laser engrave the top with your own custom label, or to emboss yourself in BambuStudio

As the intention was to optimize for Gridfinity sizing (the number is 42!), designs were focused on maximizing footprint with blank density. Unless labeled as Large or Multi-Functional with additional Gridfinity bin sizing (e.g. 3x2), the storage bin will be a 1x2 or 2x2 scale. (Excluding the multi-functional bins)

The primary Multi-Functional model is for all types of blanks listed above in a single 5x5 Gridfinity Bin. There is also a model that fits all of the different common coin sizes in cases. There will be new types of bins to support other types of blanks in the near future (Bottle openers, dog tags, etc)

Print Suggestions

PETG-HF material is what was the original intention for this solution as the added benefits of PETG help with storage of blanks in hot garage or workspaces, and tend to be less brittle as these bins are often moved around. PLA profiles are also added as this project wants to offer solutions for a wide audience that may not need the additional benefits of PETG, or just want to use up some PLA filament.

For this initial release all profiles will be released for 0.4mm nozzle; however, as with other models that I have released I will include other profiles for 0.6mm nozzles.

Please provide feedback in the comments if you have issues, I would like to help. I have additional models for other types of blanks coming; but this project has been primarily focused on the needs of a small group of engravers. With out your feedback, this cant be improved. Please let me know what works, what doesn't work, areas that you see as a gap, etc. I will keep a list of suggestions transparently for everyone, and will strike them out as they are released.
