About Ka Lamp,

After two years of making the first prototype of this lamp, I was finally able to make time and do it the way I wanted it to be, with interchangeable sides, allowing me to arrange the light in the room in the best possible way.

And here I share with you a curiosity about the KA lamp, on each side there are the vectors of the letters K and A, hence the name, and KA is the abbreviation of my partner's name Karina, the person who gave me the greatest strength and put up with me during the development time before I showed it to her in person, not even she knew this detail.

About electricity and junctions:

I used a Ø4x2mm magnet to hold all the pieces together. If you only want to make one kit, either the frame or the blur, you will need 78 magnets. If you want to make both kits, you will need 144 magnets, so subtract 12 magnets from the base.

For the base, I used an E27 bulb base, to be more precise, this reference is here:

And a 3mm cable tie to secure the cable to the base.

The bulb is up to you, RGB could be a good choice for the blur and these retros for the sides of the frame, but this is just a suggestion.

3D printing settings

For this print I suggest you use a well calibrated first layer.

0.16mm height per layer,

2 walls with 0.4mm nozzle,

In the photos the infill is 30% with the cubic pattern, and with 3 base layers and 5 top layers this will directly affect the visual appearance of the light. Personally, I don't like to see the infill, so I've increased it and added a top layer. But this may be a matter of taste, play around and enjoy the experience.

I use brin to avoid warping, but if your printer is closed, I don't think you'll have this problem.

Use whatever material you like, in my case I used PLA because I like it.
