This is an improved version of the frame that comes with the AfterAI Flaps kit, available from:

Reuse all the parts from the kit except for the plastic frame.

I found the original frame was unreliable as the displayed character would often be off by one, even after recalibrating.  So I made the following improvements:

1. Frame is square - the original frame is slightly skewed due to the injection molding process.
2. Frame is more rigid, to reduce flex-induced alignment errors.
3. The biggest source of error is how the drum is attached to the stepper motor - it has some wiggle to it, causing the flaps to become tilted over time.  This frame has a single slim point in the top middle that holds the flap, so that the point of the flap falling is roughly the same regardless of how the drum has tilted.
4. Frame has pegs on one side and holes on the other so that they can be attached together for a more professional look.
5. End caps are provided to cover the pegs and holes on each end.
