Remix based on the DevinJones Cut Stone Wall tiles.
I spent days printing the OpenForge wall tiles just to have enough walls to build rooms, corners, hallways etc. Then I realized I would be limiting myself to the configurations I had printed with very little freedom to control where on a floor tile the wall would be. Then as I was staring at a floor tile, it hit me! Look at those grooves between the tiles! I could fit a 1mm thick partition in there! Off to TinkerCAD with a wall STL and … Boom Goes the Dynamite! Thin Walls that slide down between the 25.4mm sq tiles! On the plate are walls that fit 2x, 3x & 4x tile lengths. A wall with an open entrance, one with double windows and just for heck of it a half-height railing.
Profile should be set for 0.16 High Quality with an initial layer of 0.1 so that the surface sitting on the plate will print with the brick profile. It won't be as thick as the top surface with variable height layer but it still looks good enough for viewing from both sides. I printed on both a smooth and textured plate and both look pretty good. The walls slide down 3mm into the groves so they won't interfere with lock clips between tiles. The 1mm thickness requires a little effort to seat but with time they get easier while not allowing the wall to lean one way or the other. Solid standing walls that can be moved easily and require waaaaay less filament.
I'll continue to add wall designs as I think of new ideas (planning to add hinges to entrance openings and hang a thin door).
