📝 Description

This all started with wanting to mount an Amerex Model 240 water fire extinguisher in the bed of my Ram truck using the bed rails and their Model 810 vehicle bracket.  If you own a Ram Truck with the Rambox option, you’ve likely noticed that the bedrails can make it challenging to securely mount items due to the extruded shelf design (see photos). This custom-designed mount solves that problem!

With embedded steel slot nuts, this mount provides a strong and reliable attachment point in your truck bed. Whether you need to mount a toolbox, MOLLE panel, recovery gear, or even a fire extinguisher, this mount ensures a secure fit with maximum strength.

🖨 Print Settings & Recommended Materials

✔ Recommended Filament:

• ASA (Best Choice!) – Superior UV and weather resistance, ideal for truck beds.
• ABS – Strong but less UV-resistant.

✔ Print Settings:

• Layer Height: 0.2mm (Recommended)
• Infill: 40%+ (Grid or Gyroid preferred for strength)
• Perimeters: 4-5 for added durability
• Supports: Not required
• Nozzle Size: 0.4mm+
• Pause Print: Pause print at layer 138 to insert slot nut

🛠 Assembly Instructions

🛠 What You'll Need:

• Slot Nut (Amazon M12 or Amazon 3/8-16)
• 3/8-16 or M12 bolts (hardware selection depends on preference)
• Washers & lock washers
• Standard wrench for tightening

1️⃣ Insert the mount into the Rambox rail and position it where needed.
2️⃣ Attach your desired mounting item using the appropriate bolts, washers, and lock washers.
3️⃣ Tighten everything down securely. Done! ✅
