Descrição
Hex bit storage for Gridfinity. Features:
- Optional magnets
- Bits are tilted at an angle to make it easier to see shapes and color rings
- Compact layout
- Many different sizes
- Two choices for outer bin: 4u high non-stacking, or 6u high stacking
- Great fit for Gridfinity rugged boxes – bits won't fall out even without magnets
Note that the Gridfinity bin is generated using a popular OnShape FeatureScript, so you might already have some bins that would fit – measure the STL objects dimensions to check.

Components
- Magnets: cylindrical D3x2. The number of magnets is mentioned in object name: select object in the slicer and see the “objects” panel.
Printing
- Make sure to clean the bed
- Use dry filament
- It's best to use PETG for the bin, although PLA+ will work as well.
Assembly
- If you use magnets, print the “Tools” plate
- Use Tools A & B to put magnets in place. Alternatively, push a string of magnets by hand, and put the string at an angle before pulling it out, so that the lower magnet stays in place
- Finally, use Tool C to push the magnets fully in
- Ideally, metal bits should not touch the magnets – the magnet hole is a bit deeper than magnet height, and you should be able to push it deeper
