This is a Plane Launcher designed to launch a F-35 Fighter Jet. (Scroll down for assembly instructions!)

The fighter jet is designed to be more of a fast, long-distance plane for this launcher rather than a slow flying glider. If you are looking for a slow speed gilder I am working on it, in the meanwhile, if you prefer, you could find a model you like on Maker world and add a small rectangle (12 length x 2 width x 4 height) on the back of the plane. This rectangle is how the plane attaches to the launcher. As seen in a video above its a secure and easy to load method for the plane. 

The launcher is powered using rubber bands. The type of rubber bands you use will greatly impact the performance of the launcher. I found taking a standard rubber band and looping it around itself - one on each side seemed to work best for me. You can experiment and find what works best for you!

Print orientation: 

The Bottom Launcher Piece (One with handle) is printed in a sideways orientation requiring support for the maximized strength of the spring in the trigger mechanism. You should be able to pull apart the supports easily but in some case some pliers may be needed. 

Assembly: Quick and easy don't worry!

Step 1: Place the launcher stopper into its hole. Make sure the orientation matches the image! 

Step 2: Hold the trigger in place while you slide in the shaft to hold the trigger in place

Step 3: Place the slider(ensure orientation) and close it in with the top half of the launcher!

Step 4- Slide the rubber bands into their slots on the launcher and the slider (look at pictures above for reference)
