Intro
A compact bit holder designed for everyday carry and quick fixes. Its small footprint makes it ideal for toolboxes, bags or keychains, while the textured grip ensures reliable handling. This simple yet practical tool holds standard hex bits securely so you can tackle jobs without bulky screwdrivers.
Perfect as a pocket tool when you need quick access to a bit driver without carrying full-size tools. Great for small assembly tasks, on-the-go adjustments, or as a handy backup in your workshop or backpack.
This tool was engineered to hold bits snugly — not loose — so they stay in place during use. It’s simple, practical, and quick to print. If too tight, print the model in 101% or 102%. If the bit gets stuck, use pliers or push a nail through the hole on the top.
Why you'll love it?
- Ultra-compact design — easy to carry and store.
- Textured handle — improved grip despite the small size.
- Secure bit retention — holds hex bits firmly during use.
- Fast print — quick and easy 3D printing.
Recommended print settings
- Nozzle: 0.4
- Layers: 0.2
- Infill: 100%
- Perimeters: 6
- Top fill pattern: Concentric
- Bottom fill pattern: Concentric
- External perimeters first (important for accuracy)
- Material: I recommend to use PLA or PETG (see below)
Print with the bit opening facing to the print bed.
Please mind, every filament has a slightly different behavior and every bit varies slightly in size too. So if it doesn’t work in the first run with your filament/bit, please make sure to activate the “External perimeters first” option in your print settings. You also can try to change the size of the print a little bit (e.g. scale it to 101% or even 102%).
Filament recommendation
I used Prusament PLA Prusa Orange to print this model - It works great for this model.
