Saw a short video online that really piqued my interest and had to make a model for myself.

Print in TPU 95, make sure your filament settings are on point, so the holes come out as clean as possible.

If you have any problems threading the line through, you can chase the hole with a needle or even a heated needle to soften the TPU to make more room for the thread. 

I used 4lb fishing line but using a line that has no stretch would be better.

I tried cheep sewing thread, but wasn't strong enough. Was easy to thread with a needle tho.

You could easily use a heaver fishing line, 4lb is just what I had lying around. My 20lb mono line was too tight.

I made many knots in the line at the end so that it wouldn't undo or slip through the holes when pulled.

Maybe a hard end cap to tie the thread too might be a good next add-on.

Pliers are a big help with threading.

Yes it is lifting that big mug with only the 4lb fishing line.

Basically when pulling on a string on one side the arm will draw to that side until it comes in contact with an object and will try to wrap around the surface. It's not perfect but wanted a simple example to grow off of.
