Descrição
Minimalistic way to hang your bike on the wall with a mix of 3D printing and the beauty of wood.
Additional Materials for Project:
1 - Oak Closet Rod (min 2 ft in length)
2 - 1 ¼" Screws
2 - 3" Construction Screws
The mounts were modeled for use with the an oak closet rod found at home depot (listed diameter: 1.313"/34mm) :
I've added stl and additional plate in the 3MF for an EU version after a request to make. The alternate plate is compatible with closet dowels available elsewhere that are 30mm in diameter. Select the required plate based on the dowel diameter in your market.
Rods were cut to be 12" long. Desired length may vary based on width of handlebars. Do stain stain and/or clear coat as desired prior to installing rods in mount.
Rods are are secured to the mount with an 1 ¼" screw from the back side. Longer scews can be used but not required, the screw ensures the rod wont fall out while removing the bike. Recommend pre-drilling wood.
Once rods are secured to mount, locate studs in wall and secure to studs with 3" construction screws. 16" stud spacing worked great for my road and TT bike.
