Mobula8 Transport Case

Hi there fellow Mobula8 pilots and the ones who want to be in the future. Since I was kinda like a bit unhappy with the packaging my Happymodel Mobula8 came with I went for a solution that involves the foam from the original box and tranforms it into a nice and usefull transport box that gives your drone and other accecories a safe transport to the field or wherever you  want to go. 

Within the parts there is also an empty battery tray that you can modify however you want to fit your batteries, parts or fit other things into the providet rails

Print Profile: 
the print profile provides you a support with support material for the LowerCase part with the handle. For sure you can change this one to PETG or other material that works as support surface for the filament you choose in the end. If you dont own a AMS you only need to deactivate support material in the support settings and reset the orange marked values under it.
 

What will I need? 

I was thinking alot back and forward but came to the conclusion that the safest way still will be metal to connect the shells of the transport box.

You will need three 3mm stainless steel rods with a lenght of 50mm and the old foam from your Mobula8 package.

You can source them via Amazon, Ali, Whatever… there are also already rods with 50mm in lenght so you don't need to cut anything.

Assembly:

• Step 1: put the shells together and then push the steel rods with a little bit of force (please take care we working here still with plastic so too much force in the wrong direction can make you need to print things again) till the end is ~1mm in the plastic. Do the same with the closure. 

• Step 2: slight cut the corners of your old foam and push it into the lower part of the case
