🦎 Description
A cute, fully articulated axolotl designed for smooth movement, satisfying fidgeting, and reliable printing. This version has been superseded by an improved, 2026 version of my Axolotl you can find here
Multiple sizes and profiles are included so you can print anything from tiny desk buddies to larger, more display-worthy axolotls in both AMS and non-AMS versions. Whether you’re printing one… or suddenly have a whole pile, it’s a fun and approachable print for all skill levels.
⚠️ Important Notes & Printing Tips
No supports needed
This model is designed to print without supports. If your slicer (such as Bambu Studio) suggests adding them, you can safely ignore it. Supports will make cleanup harder and aren’t required.
Bed adhesion
If you run into adhesion issues, try adding a brim. Otherwise, make sure your build plate is clean, and consider using glue stick or hairspray for extra grip.
Single colour painting
In my sample images the single-colour prints shown have been hand painted using acrylic paints (both paint markers and brush paints). This is a great option if you want colour without the extra time of multi-colour printing or if you don’t have an AMS. The model is designed with creases and deep eyewells to help you paint accurately.
Scaling guidance
The smallest provided size is designed for 100% scale. Going smaller than this increases the risk of joints breaking. Do so at your own risk
