The season of love is upon us and with it brings several new parts for the Modular Lantern.

If this is the first time you've come across the Modular Lantern I suggest toy view it's main page here. It's designed to change throughout the year and encourages experimentation.

The lantern parts are compatible with all sizes of lantern, chamfered and unchamfered. The Inserts can be used with any size Medium or up.

Many of the parts here require other parts so I shall go through them and detail where other parts can be found.

Slim Heart Handle

This can replace the slim handle found on plate 1 of the unchamfered ‘Flat Topper, Chimney & Handle’ profile and plate 2 of ‘Chamfered Flat Toppers & Handle’

Wide Band Heart

There are two wide band handles, one for chamfered tops (on the right) and one for unchamfered. You will need the retainer part shown at the bottom of the above picture (with the circle hole in it) to attach it to a top. Links: Chamfered, Unchamfered.

Large Heart Decorator

Simply clip this on top of a flat topper or blank. Chamfered Flat Toppers, Chamfered Blank Toppers, Unchamfered Flat Toppers, Unchamfered Blanks

Small Heart Decorator

This replaces the ball that fits on top of the pyramid topper, or place it on top of a chimney hat. Just experiment :-)

Short Straight Top With Inserts

This new top (left) is compatible with the other straight top inserts, the main difference is that it does not have a cuboid on top (right), thus it is shorter. You can read about how to insert the inserts here.

As usual you can use clips or 6x2mm magnets to attach this to the lantern core. You can even place a Bambu Tea Light in the top to light the inserts more if you're using a tea light in the main lantern core.
